Expedia needed a new way to attract online attention and our solution was a new game mechanic, "The passive game". The passive game doesn't require the player to do anything specific in the game, but relies on other people's actions for the player to win. In E-Cities, the player gets an additional member in their population for each person that visits the page. The more people you have in your city, the more buildings and landmarks you have in your city. We also added some coupon giveaways in the game to identify users.

オンライン上で目を惹き付けるキャンペーンを求めていた Expedia に対して、我々が提案したのは「新しいパッシブなゲームシステム」でした。プレイヤーに対して特定されたタスクは存在せず、ユーザーが E-City にアクセスする事により街の人口が増え、より大きな街を作る事が可能になります。又、ユーザー層を特定するため、ゲーム内でクーポン券を発行すなどのキャンペーンも企画しました。
