To announce the call for entry for the Red Bull Box Cart Race in Tokyo, we took the campaign to the streets. After buying 70 bicycles, we placed them strategically around the Shibuya/Harajuku area where a lot of young, creative people are and bicycles are commonly on the side of the road. We removed wheels and seats of the bicycles and in their place put big signs addressed to "the owner" of bike, so everyone could see that said, "We have borrowed your wheel for our entry in the Red Bull Box Cart Race, we promise to return it after the race is over". The campaign itself was heavily reported and gained a lot of attention in the area, creating a great deal of buzz for the application phase and leading up to the event.
日本で初開催された Red Bull Box Cart Race Tokyo のエントリーアナウンスとして、我々は70台あまりの自転車を購入し、クリエイティブな若者達が集い、自転車での通勤が良く見かけられる原宿や渋谷周辺に駐輪。自転車のホイール、シートなどを取り外し「オーナー様 Red Bull Box Cart Race 用にあなたのシートを借りました。イベント後に必ずお返しします。」とサインをぶら下げ、一目つくに自転車に装飾。このキャンペーンで渋谷・原宿周辺からサインのかけられた自転車を目撃したとのツイートが多く発しられ、イベント本番に向けて話題性を含んだキャンペーンとなりました。
